MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

A TEMP-HIRE POSITION (after 90 days)

2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm

 

SUMMARY:

Supervise hourly maintenance staff to provide efficient and timely maintenance services while maintaining safety and quality standards. Areas of responsibility include all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical controls for the plant's processing, packaging equipment, building, utility and waste water pretreatment with high quality and low cost.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. degree in a technical field preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or equivalent maintenance environment
  • Electrical distribution low voltage, electrical controls, incl. PLC's, Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
  • MS Office, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), PLC Software applications, technical reading and writing, budget management
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment mechanical aptitude test
  • Ability to obtain passport to travel if necessary
  • Valid US driver's license and vehicle to commute to other plant locations

    • Operate drill, saws, grinders, welding apparatus, presses and a variety of manual tools to repair and maintain production equipment
    • Building and grounds maintenance, incl. plumbing, general electrical wiring, and painting
    • Test operate production machinery such as mixers, saws, conveyors, box makers, sealers, fryers, freezers, forklifts, separators and baggers.
    • Write up and submit requests for parts for repair and maintenance
    • Maintain a logbook of daily activities
    • Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside machinery technicians
    • Make equipment adjustments as requested by line supervisors to assist machine operators with accurate functioning of precision production equipment.  

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Minimum 2 years of related mechanical experience and/or specific welding, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical training required
    • Basic algebra and geometry and ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
    • Must be able to pass mechanical aptitude test

        QUALIFICATIONS

        • Registered Nursing License required, Bachelors Degree, CNOR Preferred

        • Knowledge of, and experience in, directing accrediting body surveys such as The Joint Commission, AAAHC, and CMS
